ORDINANCE NO. 4256
AN ORDINANCE making an appropriation from the funds of the Plater
Department for the purchase of a temrorary note of the City
of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of 416,927.23 be and the same is
hereby appropriated from the funds of the Water Department of the
City of Salina in the City Treasury for the purchase from H. J.
Taylor Construction Company of a Temporary Note of the City of
Salina issued to said H. J. Taylor Construction Company in the
sum of 416,927.23 as authorized by Ordinance No. 4255 passed
and approved May lst, 1933, said note to be held as part of the
Sinking Fund of the eater Department and either exchanged for
bonds of the City of Salina; of like amount or exchanged for
cash at the time bonds ate issued"in payment of the cost of paving
improvements under contract dated March 1st, 1933.
Section 2. That the Director of r"inance be and he is here-
by authorized to issue a warrant to H. J. Taylor Construction
Company, countersigned bl the City Manager upon the City Treasurer
in payment of the purchase price of the temporary note mentioned
in Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.

hereby appropriated from the funds ofthe Water Department of
'. the City of Salina in the City Treasury.for.the purchase from
H. J. Taylor Construction Company of a Temporary Note of the
City of Salina issued to said H. J. Taylor Construction cbmpany
in the sum of $16,927.23 as authorized by Ordinance. No. 4255•
passed.and approved May 1st, 1933, said note to be held as part
of the Sinking Fund of the Water Department and either exchanged
for bonds of the City of Salina, of like amount or exchanged
for cash at the time bonds are issued in payment -of .the cost
of paving.improvements under contract dated March,lst, 1933.
Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is
hereby authorized to issue a warrant to H. J. Taylor Construction
Company, countersigned by the City Manager upon the City Treas-
urer in payment of the purchase price of the temporary note men-
tioned in Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
