4252 Recurbing Santa Fe AvenueORDINANCE NO. 4252 shed in the Salina _Joi rnal — _1933 ) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the recurbing of Santa Fe Avenue from the north line of Ash Street to the north line of Elm Street in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, of the proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company hereinafter re- ferred e-ferred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Com- missioners on April 11, 1933, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said con- tractor and signed on behalf of the city by its Mayor on April 11, 1933, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, to -wit: Recurbing of Santa Fe Avenue from the north line of Ash Street to the north line of Elm Street, as pro- vided for by Ordinance No. 4246, at and for the unit prices for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being 1,vithin the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of v-hich are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 3. That Temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 4% per annum, and to mature not later than July 1, 1933, and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such work may be required, such notes to be issued to said con- tractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
