AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construc-
tion of Storm Sewers No. 24 and 17-A in the City of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the CityofSalina
Kansas: ,
Secti^.n 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the
proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred
to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners
on October 24, 1932, which is hereby found ander etermined to be the
lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the
Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed
on behalf of said city by its Mayor on October 24th, 1932, for the
construction of Storm Seia!ers No. 24 and 17-A as provided for by
Ordinance No. 4210, said storm sewer No. 24 to be constructed of
No. 2 double strength vitrified clay pipe in sizes 12 inch, 15 inch,
18 inch, 24 inch and 27 inch; and storm server No. 17-A to be con-
structed of No. 2 double strength vitrified clay pipe in sizes 12
inch and 15 inch, at and for the unit prices contained in said
proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and
made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified
and confi-med, said proposal being within the estimated cost of
.said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City
Engineer filed in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates
are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section_ 2. That said Storm Sewers No. 24 and 17-A shall be
built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifica-
tions therefor prepared by 1 -.he City Engineer and on file in the
office of the City Clerk, and in accordance with the proposal of
said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which
are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.
