4200 Construction of Sidewalk on Frost StreetORDINANCE NO. 420' AN ORDINANCE providing for and requiring the construction_ of a sidewalk on Frost Street between Ninth and Tenth Streets in the City of Salina. WHEREAS a petition duly signed by ten or more citizens of the City of Salina has been duly filed in the office of the City Clerk pray - Ing for the construction of a certain sidewalk hereinafter mentioned, and said petition has been considered by the Board of Commissioners and found to be sufficient and said sidewalk is by said Board deemed to be necessary; NOVti THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That a concrete sidewalk be constructed and laid along the north side of Frost Street, between Ninth Street and f Tenth Street, in front of and abutting on the south side of Lots 11 and 12 in Surveyors Plat 10 in the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. Said sidewalk shall be five feet in width and con - strutted in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 2407 and 3509, and in accordance with the plans and specifications for sidewalks on file in the office of the City Engineer and City clerk, which plans and specifications have been and are now approved, such sidewalk to be constructed at the grade furnished by the City Engineer. Section 3. The owners of the lots abutting on said sidewalk are hereby ordered to construct the sidewalks herein provided for and if they shall fail to so construct the same within five days from the date this ordinance takes effect, such sidewalks shall be constructed by the City of Salina, as provided by law, and the cost thereof shall be assessed against said lots in the manner provided by law, and certified by the City Clerk to the County clerk for collection as other taxes are collected. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its publication in the official city paper.
