AN ORDINANCE amendingSection Two (2) of Ordinance N -

to the Board of Public Works,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section Two (2) of Ordinance No. 3986 be and
the same is hereby ended to read as follows s

AN ORDINANCE amending Section Two (2) of Ordinance No. 3986 relating
to the Board of Public Works.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:Section le le That Section Two (2) of Ordinance No. 3986 be
and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows:

and all projects initiated by the Board of Commissioners without a
petition, for the construction of any public improvements, the cost
of which shall exceed $1000, except special improvements the cost of
which is to be paid principally by special assessments against the
property benefited -by such.improvementwo' The Board of Commissioners
shall also refer to the Board of Public Works for their consideration
the proposed budget of expenses and revenues of the city. Such
proposed budget shall be transmitted by the City Clerk to the
Secretary of the Board of Public Works at least three days before
the date set for a public hearing on the proposed budget and at the
time fixed for such public hearing the Board of Public Works shall,
if they deem it advisable, present to the Board of Commissioners,
either in writing or orally, their recommendations concerning such
proposed budget."
Section 2. That original Section Two (2) of Ordinance 3986
