AN ORDINANCE modifying the contract entered into between the City �
of Salina, and The United Power and Light Corporation, relating
to the furnishing of electric current for street lighting in I
the City of Salina and the charges to be paid by the City of
Salina therefor.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the contract now in effect between the City
of Salina, Kansas and The United Power and Light Corporation as

contained in Ordinance No. 3294 of the City of Salina which was
duly ado, ted on October 4th, 1926 be and the same is hereby modified
in the following respects, to -trait:
1. The charge for 400 C.P. lights, as provided for in
Section 5 of the proposal of the United Poyser and Light
Corporation, as embodied in said ordinance, shall be
changed from "48.00 each per year to 09.00 each per year.
2. The charge for 60 C.P. suspension bracket type lights
as provided for in Section 6 of said prol;osal shay_ be
changed from 018.00 each per year to X15.00 each per year.
3. The charge for single light White Way posts, ornamental
type, bearing one 250 CJ. Mazda lamp as provided for in
Section 8 of said proposal shall be changed from 00.00
each per year to X27.00 each per year.
4. The charge for single White 'Way ornamental posts,
bearing 150 watt mazda lamps as provided for in Section
9 of said proposal shall be changed from 430.00 each per
year to 424.00 each per year.
5. The charge for three light v4hite VVay ornamental posts
bearing two 60 watt Mazda lamps burning until midn'ght and
one 100 watt lamp burning all night as provided for in
Section 10 of said proposal shall be changed from w30.00
each per year to "27.00 each per year.
6. The charge for five light White Way ornamental posts
bearing four 60 �,att Mazda.lamps burning until midnight
and one 100 watt Mazda lamp burning all night as provided
for in Section II of said proposal shall be changed from
X38.00 each per year to 9-33.00 each per year.
7. For 250 C.P. Suspension `type, all night burning, 027.00 each.
8. That the t erm of said contract as provided for in Section.
20 of said proposal shall be extended to November 3rd, 1939,
and the charge$ as provided for in said contract, as hereinabove
modified and all of the provisions of said contract except
as modified hereby, shall be effective from and after I`Iay 1st,
1932 until the expiration of said contract as herein provided
for, provided that it is understood and agreed that whenever
circumstances shall permit the charges herein provided for
shall be further reduced.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon the filing in
the office of the City Clerk of a written acceptance thereof, exe-
cuted by the duly authorized officers of the United Power and Light
Corporati^n, within ten days after its final passage, and upon its
publication thereafter in the official city paper.

ACCEPTANCE OF ORDINANCE NO. 4160
OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS
The United Power & Light Corporation (of Kansas) one of
the parties to the contract with the City of Salina as contained
in and provided for by Ordinance No. 3294 of said city, hereby
consents to the modification of said contract and of said Ordin-
ance No. 3294, as provided for in Ordinance No. 4160 of the City
of Salina, passedby the Board of Commissioners of said city on
May 31st, 1932, and said The United Power & Light Corporation
(of Kansas) does hereby accept the provisions of said Ordinance
No. 4160, in accordance with the provisions thereof.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, said The United Power & Light Corpor-
ation (of Kansas) has caused this instrument of acceptance to be
signed by its duly authorized officers, this 10th day of June,
1932.
