AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2 of Ordinan ce No. 4056 relating to
the parking of vehicles on certain streets in the City of
Salina and repealing said original Section 2 of Ordinance
4056.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 4056 of the City
of Salina be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 2. That the Chief of Police shall and he is hereby
authorized and directed to designate and have marked two zones on
each side of each block on Santa Fe Avenue between Ash Street and
!.',�alnut Street, and on Fifth Street between Ash Street anc w8LInut
Street, with parking spaces on each of such zones for five cars,
and that whenever in the opinion of the City Manager and the Chief
of Police it is necessary to designate other or aff itional zones
on the same or other streets in the Cite of Salina they shall make
such recommendation to the Board of Commissioners in writing, and
after the approval by the Board of Commissioners of such recom-
mendatinn, the Chief of Police shall designate and mark such other
or additional zones, and after any such zones are designated and
pro �erly marked it shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave
.or to cause, permit or direct to be-.arked or l(,ft in any such space
in any such zone any a,-ztomobile or vehicle for more than 15 minutes
at one time, between the hours of nine o'clock A. M. and nine o'clock
P. M."
Section 2. That original Section 2 of Ordinance No. 4056 be
and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
publication in the official city paper.
