AN ORDINANCE providing for the repair or reconstruction of the pave-
ment at the intersection of Ohio Street and Ash Street, and in
certain portions of Ash Street in the City of Salina, and pro-
viding for the payment of the cost thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
n Kansas:

Section 1. That it is necessary and it is hereby ordered that

the pavement at the intersection of Ohio Street and Ash Street and
in Ash Street from the west line of Ohio Street to a point 110 feet
west thereof; and on the south side of Ash Street from the east line
of Fenn Avenue to a point 116 feet east thereof, which pavement in
the portions of said streets so described has been destroyed by
reason of the construction and repair of sewers in said streets, be
repaired and reconstructed.
Section 2. For the work and improvements herein ;rovided for
the City 'ngineer shall make and file on or before May 20, 1932,
complete plans and specifications for such paving with 3 inch vitri-
fled brick with asphalt filler on 5 inch reinforced concrete base,
qnd shall on or before the same date submit to the Board of Com-
missioners under oath detailed estimates of the cost of such work
with such materials.
Section 3. That after such plans and specifications shall
have been mads- and prepared by the City Engineer and filed with
the City Clerk as aforesaid the Board of Commissioners may advertise,
by advertisement published in the official city paper of the City of
Salina, Kansas for three consecutive days for the receipt of sealed
proposals for the improving of said street with the kind of material
named and specified in the preceding section hereof, and for the ex-
cavating and grading necessary for the completion of such work, and
after the receipt of such proposals the said Board of Commissioners
may and are hereby authorized to let contracts for the improving of
said street with the material selected by them to the lowest respopsible
bidder therefor, as determined by said Board of Commissioners, and for
such excavating and grading. Said Board cf Commissicners reserve the
right to reject any and all bids.
Section 4. The cost of the work herein provided for shall b e paid
out of the General Improvement Fund of the City of Salina.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its publicati-n in the official city paper.

ORDINANCE NO. 4158
AN ORDINANCE providing for the repair or reconstruction of the
Pavement at the intersection of Ohio Street and Ash Street,
and in certain portions of Ash Street in the City of Salina,
and providing fof the payment of the cost thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1 That it is necessary and it is hereby ordered
that the pavement at the intersection of Ohio Street and Ash
Street and in Ash Street from the w5st line of Ohio Street to
a point 110 feet west thereof; and on the south side of Ash
Street from the east line of Penn Avenue to a point 116 feet
east thereof, which payment in the portionsof said streets so
described has been destroyed by reason of the construction and
repair$ of sewers in said streets, be repaired and }V reconstructed,
Section 2. For the work and improvements herein provided

selected by them to the lowest responsible bidder therefor, as
determined by said Board of Commissioners, and for such excavating
and grading. Said Board of Commissioners reserve the right to
reject any and all bids.
Section 4. The cost of the work herein provided for shall
be paid out of the General Improvement Fund of the City of Salina.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication in the official city psp er.
