AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construction �
of Storm Ses•,ers No. 10-A and 14 in the City of Salina, and pro-
viding for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost there-
of pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina`,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the
proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred
to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on
November 16th, 1931, which is hereby found and determined to be the
lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the
Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor as the lowest
responsible bidder for such work, and signed on behalf of said city
by its Mayor on November 19th, 1931, for the construction of Storm
Sewers No. 10-A and 14 as provided for by Ordinance No. 4114, said
storm sewers to be constructed of Reinforced Precast Concrete Pipe
Seg.^-er, in all sizes from 24 inch to 60 inch inclusive, and Precast
Concrete Pipe Sewer in sizes 21 inch to 12inch inclusive, all to be
manufactured and to be of the kind and quality as specified in the
specifications and in said proposal, at and for the unit prices con-
tained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby re-
ferred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby
ratified and confirmed, said proposal being witttin the estimated cost
of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City
Engineer filed in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are
hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 2. That said Storm Sewers No. 10-A and 14 shall be built
and constructed in ac-ordance with the plans and specifications there-
for prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the
City Clerk, and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and
under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to
and made parts of this ordinance.
Sdetion 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses
in the manner and form as required by lave, the total amount thereof not
to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to bear interest
not to exceed 4-1/4% per annum and to be issued in such amounts and at
such time as money for the payment of the cost of such work may be re-
quired, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed
and cancelled at the time that r.ermanent I-)onds are issued in lieu thereof.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.

AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construc-
tion of Storm Sewers No. 10-A and 14 in the City of Salina,
and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the
cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina
Kansas: ,

from and after its publication in the official city paper.
