AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the parking of vehidles in
certain streets and parts of streets in the City of Salina,
Kansas, and prohibiting the parking of vehicles in certain
portions of said streets, and providing a penalty, for the
violation of this ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to park or
permit or cause to be parked any vehicle on the north side of Mul-
berry Street between Second and Third Street, between the hours of
761clock A. M. and 6 o'clock P. M.
Section 2. That there be and there is hereby created a "No
Parking" zone 20 feet in length along the curb line of each street
immediately in front of and adjacent to any main entrance to any
school building in the City of Salina; provided that if there be
more than one such entrance, a separate zone for each such entrance
shall be created under this ordinance; and It shall be unlawful for
any person to park or cause to be left or parked any vehicle in any
such "No Parking" zone.
Section 3. Each zone or place where parking is prohibited
under the provisions of this ordinance shall be plainly marked and
designated as a "No Parking" zone, and this ordinance shall not take
effect as to any such zone or place until it is so marked.
Section 4. Any person who shall violate or cause or permit the
violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than $5.00 nor less than
41.00 for each offense.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in force from and after its
publication in the official city paper.
