AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 3188, being an ordinance dividing
the City of Salina into zones or districts and regulating and
restricting the location of trades and industries, etc., and
the uses of land in each of such districts or zones and defin-
ing an additional Commercial zone.
WHEREAS the. City Planning Commission of the City of Salina,
has recommended to the Board of Commissioners certain changes in the
zones or districts defined by Ordinance No. 3188, as amended, as here-
in after set forth, and due notice thereof has been given as required
by law, and in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, such proposed
changes should be made, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas
Section 1&_ Zhat the following described land within the City
of Salina shall be and the same is hereby included within, added to
and made a part of the "C" Commercial District as defined in Section
5 of Ordinance No. 3188, and said ordinance as amended, and that said
land may be used for the purposes designated in Section 10 of said
ordinance No. 3188 subject to the restrictions and regulations herein-
after provided for, to -wit:
Lots 1,2,3 and 4 in Block One in Episcopal Military Institute
Addition and Lots 1,2,3 and 4 in Block Six in Pacific Addition
(now in the "B" Residence District) and Lots 2 and 4 in Reimoldts
Replat of Block 28 in Military Addition; Lots 2 and 4 in Block
29 in Military Addition, Lots 2 and 4 in Block 4 in Pacific
Addition, Lots 1 4nd 3 in Block 28 in Military Addition and
Lots 1,2,3 and 4 in Block 5 in Pacific Addition (now in "A"
Residence Distriet)9
provided however, that any coanm9rcial building constructed on any
of the tracts of land described in this section shall be of such
type, and shall have such set back from the street, as shall first
be approved by the Board of Commissioners of said city before any
permit shall be issued for the construction of any building or other
structure thereon, or the moving of any structure on to any such tract
or any portion thereof, and no person shall commence the erection of
any building or other structure thereon or move any building or other
structure on to any of such tracts or parts thereof until the same
shall have been approved and a permit therefor issued as provided by
ordinance.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.
