4457 Levy General Revenue TaxesORDINANCE N0. 4457 ( Published in the Salina Journal August a3-1934) I AN ORDINANCE making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other purposes by the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1935. i BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1 That the sung of 12.030 mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on all real, personal and mixed property of whatsoever kind or nature, (except intangible property otherwise taxed or assessed according to law) in the City of Salina, Kansas, which is a city of the first class having a population less than 50,000, for the year 1935 for the purposes hereinafter set forth, and apportioned and divided as follows: For General Revenue - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2.499 mills For General Improvement Fund - - - - - - - - - - - -- .719 mills For Water, Light, Heat & Power Fund - - - - - - - - 2.105 mills i For Park Fund - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - .561. mills For Library Fund - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - . .500 mills For Fire Department Fund - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- 1.501 mills For Band Fund ----- - - ------- - - - --- .208 mills For Memorial Hall Fund (War Service Memorial) - - - - .111 mills For Sewage Disposal Plant Fund - - - - - - - - - - - - .304 mills Total, except for Bonds and interest - - - - - - - - - 8.508 mills For Bonds: General Bonds and Interest Fund - - - - - - - - 2.143 mills Paving Intersections Bond and Interest Fund,(Por annual instalments and interest on bonds issued to pay for improving and paving squares and areas formed by inter- section of streets and alleys) - - - - - - - - 1.265 mills Bond Sinking Fund, to pay bonds(not serial) becoming due in future - - - - - - - - - - - - .114 mills Total, including levy for bonds - - - - - - - - - - - 12.030 mills Section 2. That the valuation of the property upon which the foregoing taxes are levied and assessed be in all cases taken from the asse^sment rolls for the present year in the office of the County clerk of Saline County, Kansas, and it shall be the duty of the City Clerk of Salina, Kansas, immediately on and after the passage and taking effect of this ordinance, and on or before the 25th day of August 1934, to transmit a duly certified copy of this ordinance to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, so that the levy of taxes herein provided for may be placed upon the tax rolls and the taxes collected according to law. 328 Section 3.
