AIT ORDIT'ANCE levying special assessments against certain property
in the City of Salina to pay the cost of constructing certain
sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed
against each of the lots hereinafter described a special tax or
assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing side-
walks as authorized by Ordinance Number 4413, abutting; on said
property, to -wit:

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby- directed and ai;tnorized
to immediately certify the assessments made in Section One (1) of
this ordinance to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas to be
placed upon the tax roll for collection, subject to the same
penalties and collected in like manner as other taxes with
interest at 6% per annum; Provided, that the amounts so assessed
shall be clue and collectible in three equal annual installments,
the first becoming due with to --yes levied for year 1934 and one be-
coming due each year thereafter until all are paid, to be collected
with interest as hereinafter provided; and provided further, that
the owner of any piece of property liable for such assessment may
redeem this property from such liability by paying in to the City
Treasury the entire amount chargeable against the same at any time
within thirty days after the publication of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication once in the official city paper
