ORDINANCE 1M.
All ORDIiiANCE making an appropriation from the funds of the Water
Department for the purchase of a temporary Note of the City
of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. Ghat the sum of $1,586.95 be and the same is hereby
appropriated from the funds of the Water Department of the City
of Salina in the City Treasury for the purchase from H. J. Taylor
Construction Company of a Temporary Note of the City of Salina
I
issued to said H. J. Taylor Construction Company in the sum of
$1,586.95, as authorized by Ordinance Number 4417 passed and
approved June 4th, 1934, said note to be held as part of the
Sinking Fund of the Water Department and exchanged for cash at
the time bonds are issued in
payment of the cost of paving
improvements under contract dated May 3, 1934,
Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is :ereby
authorized to issue a warrant to H. J. Taylor Construction Comrany,
countersigned by the City Manager upon the City Treasurer in pay-
ment of the purchase priEe of the temporary note mentioned in
Section One (1) of this ordinance.
Section 3. Th's ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.

AN ORDINi NCE making an appropriation from the funds of the Water
Department for the purchase of a Temporary Note of the City
of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas :
Section 1. That the sum of 41,586.95 be and the same
is hereby appropriated from the funds of the Water Department of the
City of Salina in the City Treasury for the purchase from H. J. Tay-
lor Construction Company of a Temporary Note of the City of Salina
issued to said H. J. Taylor Construction Company in the sum of
$1,586.95, as authorized by Ordinance Number -4417 passed and
approved June 4th, 1934, said note to be held as part of the Sinking
Fund of the Water Department and exchanged for cash at the time bonds
are issued in payment of the cost of paving improvements under contract
dated May 3, 1934.
Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby
authorized to issue a warrant to H. J. Taylor Construction Company,
countersigned by the City Mana`:er upon the City Treasurer in payment
of the purchase price of the temporary note mentioned in Section
One (1) of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
