4387 Confirm Utility ImpORDINANCE N0. 4387 -- _ —�-Published in the Salina Journaleq ^'`193 91V ORDINANNCr, ratifying and confirming a contract for the reconstruction of waterworks pumping station building in the City of Galina, Kansas, and approving and accepting the work done under said con- tract and by Force Account under the direction of the City Engineer, BE 1T ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of balina of the proposal of Johnson Bros. Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on November 10, i�63, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of said city by its Mayor on November 10, 1933, for the reconstruction of waterworks pumping station building as provided for by Urdinance No. 43173, said waterworks pumping station building to be constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Salina and Cnas. W. Snaver, Architect, for the reconstruction of high service pumping; station of the Water- works Department of the City of Salina, Kansas, located at Fourth and So,-th Streets in said city, at and for the lump sum contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are nereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said. proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer and by Chas. W. Unaver, Architect, for the reconstruction of the high service pumping station of the Waterworks Department of the City of Salina filed in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 2. That it is hereby determined and found b -t the Board of Commissioners that said waterworks pumping station has been reconstructed in accordance with the plans and specifications of the City Engineer and of Chas. W. Shaver, Architect, and in accordance with the proposal of said contract and under the terms of said contract, for the contract price of 5)15,155.00, plus a charge for extras in the sum of .$220.21, which has been and is now approved, and that the work done by force account under the direction of the City Engineer, has been duly per- formed at a total cost of $4,749.27, which is within the estimated cost for such work of $5117.50, and that all of said work f as authorized by Urdinance No. 4317 is now by the Board of Commissioners approved and said work accepted. W. Shaver, Architect, .for the reconstruction of the high service pumping station of the Waterworks Department of the City of Salina filed in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made partsof this ordinance. Section 2. That it is hereby determined and found by the Board of Commissioners that said waterworks pimping station has been reconstructed in accordance with the plans and specifications of the City :�rigineer and of Chas. W. Shaver Architect, and in accordance with the proposal of said contract and under the terms of said contract, for the contract price of $15,155,00, plus a charge for extras in the sum of 8220.21, which has been and is now approved, and that the work done by force account under the direction of the City Engineer, has been duly performed at a total cost of 14,749„27 , P.hich is within the estimated cost for such work of .95117.50, and that all of said work as atathori_zed by Ordinance No. 4317 is now by the Board of Commissioners approved and said work accepted.
