4354 Confirm Sewer Improvements142 ORDINANCE NO. 4354 ( Published in the Salina, Journal i AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construction of Storm Sewer No. 9-A in the City of Salina, Kansas. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on October 26, 1933, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of said city 'by its Mayor on October 26, 1933, for the con- struction of Storm Sewer No. 9-A as provided for by Ordinance No. 4311, said Storm Sewer No. 9-A to be constructed of reinforced con - Crete pipe in sizes 24 inch, 27 inch, 30 inch, 33 inch, and 36 inch, and of plain concrete pipe in sizes 10 inch, 12 inch, 15 inch, and 18 inch, using hand labor method for excavation and backfill, and on trenching and backfill as described in said proposal, at and for the unit prices contained in said proposal, which- proposal and con- tract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be f�nd the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer filed in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 2. That said Storm Sewer No. 9-A shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the City Clerk, and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance.
