Section 2• 'That the valuation of the property upon vLich the
foregoing taxes are levied and assessed be in all cases taken from
the assessment rolls for the present year in the office of the
County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, and it shall be the duty of
the City Clerk of Salina, Kansas, immediately on and after the
passage and taking effect of this ordinance, and on or before the
25th day of August 1936 to transmit a duly certified copy of 'h is
ordinance to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, sot hat the
levy of taxes herein provided for may be placed upn the tax rolls
and the taxes collected according to law.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
after its publication once in the official city paper.

BE IT ORDAIIM by the Board of Coiv_issioners of
the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of 11.796 mills on
the dollar be and
the same is hereby levied on all real, personal
and mixed property
of whatsoever kind or nature. (except intangible property otherwise
taxed or assessed according to law) in the City
of Salina, Kansas,
which is a city of the first class having a population less than
50,000, for the year 1937 for the purposes hereinafter set forth#
and apportioned and divided as follows:
