AN ORDINANCE amending Section 12 of Ordinance No. 4295 being an
ordinance relating to and regulating the selling and dealing
in of non -intoxicating cereal beverages andproviding for the
licensing thereof and repealing original Section 12 of said
ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 12 of Ordinance No. 4295 of the
City of Salina, Kansas, be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"Section 12. It shall be unlawful for any person holding
a retail beverage dealers license under the provisions of this
ordinance or keeping any place required to be licensed under this
ordinance or any agent, employee or representative of any such
person to permit any gambling or to keep or permit the keeping
of any gambling device in any such place or to sell or permit the
sale of any such beverage to any person under the age of 18 years,
or to sell or permit the sale of any such malt or cereal beverage
as defined in this ordinance between the hours of 1:00 o'clock
A.M. and 7:00 o'clock A. M. of any week day or between the hours
of 1:00 o'clock A.M. and 12:00 O'clock noon on Sunday, or to permit
any dancing in any such place at any time and no such person shall
sell any such malt or cereal beverage in any room except on the
first or ground floor of the premises in which such room is located,
which room shall have a clear glass window through which the entire
room or rooms in which any such business is conducted shall be at
all times visible from the street upon which such room fronts,
and no screen, curtain, sign or other obstruction of any kind shall
be so placed in or adjacent to such window so as to prevent the clear

and unobstructed view of such premises from such street; provided,
that the provisions hereof relating to the conduct of such business
on the ground floor and the maintenance of curtains, screens or
other obstructions shall not apply to any place conducted under a
license issued by any bona fide lodge or fraternal organization
having a permanent and bona fide membership and which is duly
organized, authorized, chartered and operated for lodge and
fraternal purposes, and as a bona fide lodge or fraternal organiza-
tion under the laws of this state or any other state".
Section 2. That original Section 12 of Ordinance No. 4295
be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper•
