AT4.ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the repaving
of Santa Fe Avenue from the north line of Elm Street to the
north right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad, and
re -curbing and guttering of Santa Fe Avenue from a' poi_nt 130
feet south of the south line of Fine Street to the south line
of Lincoln Avenue (except the railroad crossings) all as pro-
vided for and authorized by Ordinance No. 4554 and 4557 of
the City of Salina; for the construction of railroad crossings
on Santa Fe Avenue between the north line of Elm Street and
the north right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad,
all as provided for and authorized by Ordinance No. 4554 of
the City of Salina; for the paving of Tenth Street from the
north line of Park Street to the south line of Elm Street as
provided for and authorized by Ordinance No, 455.5.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Sai ina
Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, of the
proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred
to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the "Board of Commissioners
on October 28, 19:5, which is hereby found and determined to be
the lowest and best bid for such work, and t} -ie contract awarded
by the Board of Commissioners of said City to said contractor and
signed on behalf of said city by its blayor on October 28, 1935,
for the construction of the following improvements to -wit:
Repaving of Santa Fe Avenue from the north line of Elm
Street to the north right -of. -way 17.ne of the Union
Pacific Railroad; and recurbing and guttering of Santa
Fe Avenue from a point 130 feet south of the south line
of Fine Street to the south line of Lincoln, (except the
railroad crossings) as provided for by Ordinance No. 4554
and 4557.
Construction of railroad crossings on ;Tanta Fe Avenue
betieen the north line of Elm Street and the north
right-of-wa- line of the Union Pacific Railroad, as
provided for by Ordinance No, 4554.
For the paving of Tenth Street from the north line of
Park Street to the south line of Elm Street, as provided
for by Ordinance No* 4555,
at the unit prices contained in said proposal, which proposal and
contract are herr-'v referred to and mads parts of this ordinance,
be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal
being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by
the sworn estimates of the City Engineer filed in the office of the
City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made parts
of this ordinance.
Section 2. That said improvements shall be built and con-
structed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor
prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the
City Clerk, and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor
and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby re-
ferred to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.

AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the re-
