AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 3168 adopted November 23, 1925,
i as amended being an ordinance dividing the City of Salina,
into zones or districts and regulating and restricting the
location of trades, industries, etc., and the uses of land
w1thin each of such zones or districts.
WHEREAS, pursuant to petitions duly filed with the Board of Com-
missioners and referred to the City Planning Commission, has con-
sidered the same and has made recommendations to the Board of Com-
missioners of the City of Salina relating thereto and public notice
has been given for thirty days in the Salina Journal, the official
city paper, of the proposed changes in said ordinance hereinafter
provided for and that a public hearing thereon would be held by
said Board of Commissioners at the time and place mentioned in
said notices, and that at the meeting, so held pursuant to such
notieds or at adjournment thereof, all objections to any such
changes were filed or presented and were duly considered b,T the

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tracts of land in
the City of Salina now situated within the "B" Residence District
as defined by Ordinance No. 3188 and said ordinance as amended
shall be and the same are hereby removed from the "B" Residence
District and included in, added to, and made parts of the "C"
Commercial District as defined in said Ordinance No. 3188 to -wit:
Lots 7 in Surveyors Plat C in City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas,
Lots 1 and 2 on Elm Street in Bishopts Addition to the City
of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
Lots 5 and 7 in Block 5, Pacific Addition, C'tl- of Salina,
Saline County, Kansas.
Provided, however, that no bizl lding or structure of any kind
shall be erected on any of the property hereinabove described until
the plans for such building or structure and the location thereof
on said property and the set -back from the same from the street or
streets upon which any of such lots abutt or front shall be first
submitted to and approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Salina and providing further, that if the limitations and condi-
tions hereby i,posed shall be contested and in any manner held to
be invalid then in any such event this entire ordinance shall as to
any such lots or premises be held to be invalid, and such lots or
premises shall be considered to be in the same zone or district in
which it was located prior to the passage of this ordinance, it being
the intention of the -'oard of Commissioners to mane the change herein
provided for only subject to the provisions and conditions herein
set forth.

SAction 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force after
its pi.blication in the official city paper.

of Commissioners to make the change herein provided for only subject
to the provisions and conditions herein set forth,
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force after its publication in the official city paper•
