AN ORDINANCE providing for and authorizing the construction of a
water well and the purchase of. certain real estate in the
City of Salina upon which to construct s,.zch well, for the
furnishing of additional fire protection and an additional
water supply for the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina deem it necessary and hereby declare it to be necessary
for the furnishing of an additional water sup -1-.1y and additional
fire protection, and for the preservation and protection of the
health, property and welfare of the people of the City of Salina,
that an additional water well with the necessary pumping equipment
and appurtenances be constructed by the Waterworks Department of
the City of Salina, and that the certain real estate hereinafter
described under which there exists a sufficient supply of water
be purchased for the purpose of constructing thereon such well
and equipment.
Section 2. That for the purposes herein set forth the City
of Salina shall purchase from Diary 17allerius for the sum of $575.00
the following described real estate in the City of Salina, Kansas,
to -wit :.
the west 159 feet of Lot 1, in Neeleyts Addition
to Salina in Saline County, Kansas,
upon which the Waterworks Department of the City of Salina shall
construct the water well with the necessary pumping equipment and
appurtenances herein authorized; Provided however, that any portion
of said real estate not required for the use of such well and
appurtenances may be used for any other city purpose and said real
estate or any part thereof when no longer required for such purpose
may be sold or otherwise disposed of by the City of Salina as pro-
vided by law.
Section 3. That after the abstract of title to the real estate
described in Section Two of this ordinance has been examined and
the title thereto approved by the City Attorney of the City of
Salina and upon the execution and delivery by the owner or owners
thereof to the City of Salina of a general warranty deed conveying
said real estate to the City of Salina. Kansas, free and clear of
liens or incumbrances, the Board of Commissioners shall appropriate
from the Waterworks Department Fund an amount sufficient to pay
the purchase price of said real estate as hereinabove provided for.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.

AN ORDINANCE providing for and authorizing the construction of
a water well and the purchase of certain real estate in the
City of Salina upon which to construct such well, for the furnish-
ing of additional fire protection and an additional water supply
for the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina
doses it necessary and hereby declare it to be necessary for the
furnishing of an additional water supply and additional fire pro-
