ORDINANCE NO. 4542

AN ORDINANCE providing for and authorizing the purchase of certain
real estate upon which to.contruct an elevated water storage
tank for the Waterworks Department of the City of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the City of Salina, Kansas, shall purchase from
Shellabarger Mill & Elevator Co f
g Company for the sum o� $1250.00 the
following described real estate in the City of Salina, Kansas,

to -wit:
Lots 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33, Block 10, Calkin's Addition
to the City of Salina,
for the purpose of constructing thereon an elevated water storage
tank to be constructed by the Waterworks Department of the City
of Salina as heretofore authorized by ordinance.
Section 2. That after the abstract of title to the real estate
described in Section 1 of this ordinance has been examined and the
title thereto approved by the City Attorney of the City of Salina,
and upon the execution and delivery by the owner or owners thereof,
to the City of Salina, of a general warranty deed conveying said
real estate to the City of Salina, Kansas, free and clear of liens
or encumbrances, the Board of Commissioners shall appropriate from
the Waterworks Department Fund an amount sufficient to pay the
purchase price of said real estate as hereinabove provided for.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.
