AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of Hamilton Street east of Third
Street in the City of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That that portion of Hamilton Avenue, in the City
of Salina, Kansas, which lies east of the east line of Third Street

and west of the east line of Eipisopal Military Institute Addition,
(which is the present corporate boundary of said city) and lying
between and abutting upon Lot One (1) in Block Eighteen (18) and
Lot Nineteen (19) in Block Seven (7) in said Episcopal Military
Institute Addition, be and the same is hereby vacated as a public
street, and such portion of such street so vacated shall revert
to and become a part of the lots above described, in equal portions;
provided however, that the city does hereby reserve in that portion
of the street so vacated such rights of way or easements as may be
necessary or required by it at any time for the construction of
sewers or water mains -or for the construction of gas mains and
electric light or telephone poles, wires or conduits by any person
or corporation, acting under and by virtue of the permission or
authority of the City of Salina, and provided further that such
portion of said street so vacated may hereafter be reopened, in
the manner now provided by law.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
after its publication in the official city paper.
