BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Comnissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 4804 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2. That original Section 2 of Ordinance No.\\4 804 be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its publication in the official city paper. Any person who has had not less than two yea of apprenticeship under a journeyman plumber or other preparato experience, equivalent to such apprenticeship, which will meet with e approval of the Board of Examiners, who desires to engage in o work at the plumbing business, either as a master plumber or emp ing plumber or as journeyman plumber in this city, shall make app cation to the Board of Examiners herein- after provided for which ap ication shall state the preparatory + qualifications and experience f the applicant and such other informa- tion as the Board of Examiners y require, and which shall be signed and sworn to by the applicant, a shall at such times and places as said Board may designate, be re ired to take such examination as to his qualifications as said Boa may direct. BE IT ORDAINED by the Ooard of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 4804 be and the same Is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2. Examination by Board. Any person who has had not less than two years of apprenticeship under a journgyman plumber or other preparatory expirience, equivalent to such apprenticeship, which will meet with the approval of ttre Board of Examiners, who desires to engage in or work at the plumbing business, either as a master plumber or employing plumber or as journeyman plumber in this city, shall make application to the Board of Examiners hereinafter provided for which application shall state the preparatory qualifications and experience of the applicant and such other information as the Board of Examiners may require, and which shall be signed and shorn to by the applicant, and shall at such times and places as said Board may designate, be required to take such examination as to his qualifications as said Board may direct. Said examination may be made in whole or in part in writing and may be in part oral, or by demonstration, and shall be of a practical and elementary character, but suffi- cient to test the qualifications of the applicant to engage in the kind of work or in the business specified in his application. In addition thereto the Board of Examiners may, at the time of the application, or at the time of examination, require any ;per- son mak ng such application to undergo, at said applicants expense, a physical examination by a physician to determine said applicantfs physical fitness to engage in such work."
