AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the paving of
Beloit Avenue from the west lied of Highland Circle to the
east—lime o?Funston Street, as provided for and authorized
by Ordinance Number 4791 of the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAIITED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Sa.-mina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, of the
proposal of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred
to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners
on November 8, 1937, which is hereby found and determined to be
the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by
the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and
signed on behalf of said city by its Mayor on November S. 1937,
for the construction of the following improvement, to -wit:

Paving Beloit Avenue from the west line of Highland
Circle to the east line of Funston Street, as provided
by Ordinance Number 4791,
at the unit prices contained in said proposal, which proposal and
contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance,
be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal

being within the estimated cost -of said improvement as shown by the
sworn estimate of the City Engineer filed in the office of the City
Clerk, which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this
ordinance.
Section 2. That said improvement shall be built and constructed
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared
by the City Ergineer and on file in the office of the City Clerk,
in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the
terns of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and
made parts of this ordinance*
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.

AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the paving of
Beloit Avenue from the gest line of Highland Circle to
the east line of Funston Street, as provided for and author-
ized by Ordinance Number 4791 of the City of Salina, Kansas.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina,
