4796 Confirming ContractORD1.'tANCE NO, 4796 (Published in the Salina Journal 1937) ------- ------- -------- ------- _ AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the paving of Sunset Drive from the west line of Pershing Street to a line parall—er—w-M and 125 feet west of the west line of Funston Street, as provided for and authorized by Ordinance Number 4785 of the City of Salina, Kansas* BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section lt That the acceptance by the City of Salina, of the proposal of Hs Jo Taylor Construction Companyo hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on October 18. 1937, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such works and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of said city by its Acting Mayor on October 18, 1937 for the construction of the following improvement, to -wit: Paving Sunset Drive from the west line of Pershing Street to a line parallel with and 125 feet west of the west line of Funston Street, as provided for by Ordinance Number 4785, at the unit prices contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer filed in the office of the City Clerk, which estimate is hereby referred to and made part of this ordinance* Section 29 That said improvements shall be built and con- structed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the City Clerk, and In accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred j to and made parts of this ordinance, Section 3e This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city paper* Introduced, October 27, 1937 Passed, November 1, 1937 Se Wo Jackson Attest: Aeflng Ma-Yo—r Chas E.
