AN ORDINANCE relating to license tax on tent shows.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1• That from the date this ordinance takes effect until
September 30, 1937, the license tax for tent shows, as defined in
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4421, including all entertainments or
performances of every nature to which said ordinance is applicable
shall be, instead of rates provided for in Section 6 of said ordinance,
as follows:
A gross license fee of $50.00 plus a license tax of $5.00 per day
for each and every day upon which any performance is operated or given,
such gross license fee and such daily license tax to be payable in ad-
vance by the person, firm or corporation operating the entertainments,
performances or other show for the operation of which any such license
is issued; providedt however, that nothing in this ordinance shall be
deemed to repeal or in any manner affect the provisions of said ordinance
No. 4421, except to the extent and for the time that the rate of license
tax for any such entertainments, performances or other shows is ppecificall
changed hereby.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
publication in the official city paper*
