3738 Confirming Street ImprovementsORDIiViiN CE NO. 3738 Published in the Salina Journal 0�i 1JM 1929 ) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and conforming a contract with L. W Rexroad for the construction of certain curbing, guttering and paving improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, of the proposal of L. W. Rexroad hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on June 10th, 1929, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of the city by its Mayor on June 10th, 1929, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, to -wit: Curbing and guttering on Phillips Street from the south line of Washington Avenue to the north line of Prescott Avenue, as provided for by Ur dinanee No. 3716. Curbing, guttering and paving on Oakdale Drive from the south line of Walnut Street to the entrance to Oakdale Park, as provided for by Ordinance No. 3715. Curbing, guttering and paving of Connecticut Avenue from the south line of Iron Avenue to the north line of Stapler, as provided for by Ordinance No. 3711. Curbing and guttering of Wilson Street from the west line of Ninth Street to the east line of Tenth Street, as pro- vided for by Ordinance No. 3709. Curbing, guttering and paving of Tenth Street from the north line of Elm Street to the south line of Bishop Street, as provided for by Ordinance No. 3708. Curbing, guttering and paving of Gypsum Avenue from the east line of Ohio Street to the west line of Delaware Street (south of Gypsum) as provided for by Ordinance No. 3693. Curbing, guttering and paving of Eleventh Street from the south line of Crawford Avenue to the north line of Frost Street, as provided for by Ordinance No. 3712. at and for the unit prices for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with ,the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance rad th the proposal of said contractor andunder the terms of said contract 1 1 1 1 all of which are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to briar interst not to exceed 6 percent per annum and to mature not later than June 1st, 19230, and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such work may be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that per- manent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
