Jaid amounts levied, apportioned and assessed afoz-esaic shall be aue ana collectible in ten equal installments, the first becor.;ing due with the taxes levied for the year 1929 and one of said installii.ents falling aue each and every ,year thereafter until all are paid, and all to be collected with int- erest as in this ordinance provided; PhOVIIED HOiVEVIh, that the owner of any piece of property liable for any such assessment niay redeem his property from such liability by paying into the City 1'reasury the entire amount chargeable against the same, as in this ordinance designated, at any time within thirty days after the publication of this ordinance ana before the issuance of the bonds of said_ City in payment of the balance of said im- provements, ana his property so paia on shall not thereafter be liable for any further assessments for the cost of saia improve- ments, nor for any part of said bonds. Sectic,n 3. 'There is hereby further levied and assessed against each lot and piece of ground described in this ordinance 42 percent (4��o) interest per annum on all of said installments therein mentioned from the date of the bonds, which may be issued at the end of thirty days, as specified in the preceding section hereof, as by law x%rovided, to the time of collection of the last installment as provided by law, which said interest shall be collected annually at the same time and in the same manner as said installments are collected; and after the taking effect of this ordinance it shall be the duty of the City Clerk of saia City to annually, at the same time other, taxes are certified, and until all of saia assessments so apportioned ana Levied here- in have been certified, to certify to the County Clerk of Saline County Kansas, a full list of all property liable to assessment and taxation for such work and improvement, except such property on which the special assessments aforesaia. have been paid in full as hereinbefore providea, together with the respective amounts due on each of such lots and pieces of ground, which amount shall include the annual installments of such special assessments to- gether with: the interest f'or one year at the rate of 410 per annum, on all unpaid balances of such assessri:ents at the beginning of each such year as aforesaid, ana such amounts so certified as herein pr•oviaed shall be placed upon the tax roll b�- the County Clerk of saline County, Kansas ana collected as all other taxes are collected.. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Seetion 1.
