3717 Confirming Utility ImprovementsOkDITI'ANCr' NO. 3717 (Published in the Salina Journal 1929) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construetion of Store Sewer No. 15 in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of. the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of The Salina Plumbing Company, hereinafter referred to as the contractor, as submitted to the board of Commissioners on !�,ay 11th, 1929, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and -est bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of the city by its acting lvialaor on May 11, 1929 for the building and construction of Storm Sewer No. 15 as provided for in ordinance No. 3700, said Storm Sewer to be constructed of No. 2 Double Strength Vitrified Clay Pipe, at and for the unit prices for all of said work as contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the sarne is hereby ratified and con- firmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improve- ments as shown by the sworn estimate of tl-.e City engineer on file in the office of the Cit,.,, Clerk, which estimate is hereby referrec.l to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. That sa'd Storm Sewer No. 15 shall be built and constructed in accordan^e with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the City Clerk, and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance:,. Section 3. That, teriporary notes s irned by the Ivia or and attested b,: the City Clerk be issued from ti pie to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof riot to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to rear interest not to exceed 42 percent per annum and to mature not later than September 15th, 1929, and to be issued in such amoilnts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such work mal.; be rec;uired, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
