3704 Granting Loading Dock ConstructionORDINANCE N0. 3704 (Published in the Salina Journal q U1\ 1929) U AN ORDINANCE granting to Swift & Company, its successors and assigns, the right to erect a loading dock on Elm Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the construction of a subway to be used as a sidewalk through and under said dock, and the maintenance thereof. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Swift & Oompany, its successors and assigns is hereby granted the right and privilege of erecting a loading dock commencing at the southeast corner of itsbuilding located on lot forty-seven (47) on Fifth Street in the City of Salina, thence south ten (10) feet, thence west parallel with the south side of said lot forty-seven (47), one hundred and twenty (120) feet, thence north ten (10) feet, thence east one hundred and twenty (120) feet, to the place of beginning, provided, that Swift & Company, its successors and assigns shall immediately construct a subway to be used as a sidewalk, through and under said loading dock, said subway shall be constructed according to the plans and specificiations filed by Swift & Oompany with the City (;lerk of the City of Salina, April 29, 1929 Said Swift & company, its successors and assigns, shall at all times keep said subway in good repair, properly lighted and in a sanitary and healthful condition. The right and privilege hereby granted shall extend for such length of time as said building located on lot forty-seven (47) on k'ifth Street is used by Swift & Company, its successors and assigns, for purposes requiring a loading dock, and provided said subway is maihtained in the manner herein provided.
