t�N URDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the construction
of certain curbing, paving and guttering improvements on certain
streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of
temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and
sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the
Proposal of L. W. Rexroad, hereinafter referred to as the "contractor"
as 'submitted to the hoard of Commissioners on March 11th, 1929, which
is hereby found and determined to be the lowest and best bid for such
work, and the contract awarded by the board of Commissioners of said
city to said contractor and signed on behalf of the city by its acting
Miayor on k arch 11th, 1929 for the construction of certain curbing,
guttering and paving improvements on certain streets in the City of
Salina, to -wit:
The curbing, guttering and paving of Highland Avenue from the
south line of Beloit to the north line of Claflin Avenue as
pro Tided for in `'rdinance No. 3658.
The curbing, guttering and paving of Oakdale Avenue from
the south line of Gypsum Avenue to benwood Park bridge as
provided for in Ordinance No, 3660.
The paving of Washington Avenue from the west line of
Eleventh Street to the west line of Twelfth Street as pro-
vided for in Urdinance No. 3657.
The paving of Republic Avenue from the east line of rifth
Street to the east line of Third Street as provided for in
Urdinance No. 3655.
The curbing and guttering of Second Street from the north
line of Elm Street to the south line of North Street as pro-
vided for in Urdinance No. 3654.
all of said paving to be of six inch reinforced concrete, at and for
the unit prices for said work contained in said proposal, which pro-
posal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordi-
nance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal
being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the
sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the
City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of
this ordinance.
Section 2. Said curbing,guttering and p_,ving improvements shall
be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specificiatios
therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the
City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and
under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to
and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses
in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not

to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to bear interest
not to exceed 6 percent per annum and to mature not later than June 1st,
130, and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for
the payment of the cost of such work may be required, such notes to
be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the
time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.

An Ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the construction
of certain curbing, paving and guttering improvements on certain
streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of
temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and
sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
SECTION 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal.

The curbing, guttering and paving of Oakdale Avenue from
the south line of Gypsum Avenue to Kenwood Park bridge as pro-
vided for in Ordinance No. 3660.
The paving of Washington Avenue from the west line of
Eleventh Street to the west line of Twelfth Street asrovided
