AN ORDINANCE providing that certain platted and unplatted tracts
of land, which adjoin the present limits of the City of
Salina, Kansas be added to and taken into and made parts
of the City of Salina; extending the limits of said city
so as to include said added land; defining the corporate
limits as extended; and repealing all ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commiss ioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas;
Section 1. 'That that certain tract of platted or unplatted
land lying in the northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 14
south, Range 2 west of the 6th P. W. in Saline County, Kansas,
which is described and known as Lot 6 in Surveyors Plat No. 7
according to the recorded plat of said Surveyors Plat No. 7 in
the office of the Register of Deeds in Saline County, Kansas, and
which tract of land does not exceed twenty acres in area and which
is so situated that all of the north boundary and all of the west
boundary there of lies upon or touches the present boundary line
of the City of Salina, be and the same is hereby added to taken
into and made a part of the City of Salina,
Section 2. That those said tract of platted or unplatted
land lying in the northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 14 south,
Range 2 west of the 6th P. M. in Saline County, Kansas, which are
described and known as Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Surveyors Plat No. 7
according to the recorded plat of said Surveyors Plat No. 7 in the
office of the Register of Deeds in Saline County, Kansas, and which
tracts do not in the aggregate exceed twenty acres in area, and
which are so situated that all of the north boundary line thereof
lies upon or touches the present boundary line of the City of Salina,
and all of the west boundary line of such tracts lies upon or touches
the Boundary line of that part of the City of Salina which has been
added to said city by the provisions of Section 1 of this ordinance,
be and the same are hereby added to taken into and made a part of the
City of Salina.
Seetinn 3. "hat that certain tract of platted or unplatted
land lying in the northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 14 south,
Range 2 west of the 6th P. M. in Saline County, Kansas, and known
and described as Lot 1 in surveyors Plat No. 7 according to the re-
corded plat of said surveyors Plat No. 7 in the office of the Register
of Deeds in Saline County, Kansas, which tract of land does not exceed
twenty acres in area and which is so situated that more than two-thirds
of the north boundary line thereof lies upon or touches the present
boundary line of the City of Salina, and all of the west boundary line
of which lies upon or touches the boundary of that part of the City
of Salina which was added to said city by the provisions of Section 1
and 2 of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby added to taken into
and made a part of the City of Sali:ja.
Section 4. lhat the corporate limits of the City of Salina
be and the same are hereby extended to include the territory added
to, taken into and made parts of said city as provided for in the
preceding sections of this ordinance, and that all of the land lying
within the following described boundaries be and the same is declared
to be within the corporate limits of said city, and made a part of
said city, and that such corporate limits be and the same are defined
as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the center of i4inth
Street with the center of Cloud Avenue, being the corner common to
Sections 23, 24, 25 and 26, Township 14, south, Range 3 west of the
6th P. M. in Saline County, Kansas; thence west along the south line
of said section 23 to the southwest corner of Evergreen Park Addition;
thence north along the west line of Evergreen nark Addition to the
northwest corner of said Addition, such point being in the south line
of Claflin Avenue as shown on the plat of Pleasant View Addition;
thence wast along the south line of Claflin Avenue to the southwest
corner of Pleasant View Addition; thence north along the west line of
Pleasant View Addition to the northwest corner of said Addition, said
poitt being the southeast corner of nark View Addition; thence west
along the south line of Park View Addition to the southwest corner of
said addition; thence north along the west line of said addition to
the south line of Jewell Avenue, being the northwest corner of said

Grounds of the Kansas Wesleyan University, to the east line of
Roach Street, formerly Decatur Street, being the northwest corner

Cloud Avenue, being the southeast corner of said addition; thence

intersection of said line with the center line of Ninth Street, being
the point of beginning.
Section 5. That all references in this ordinance to any
addition or subdivision be deemed to refer to and that the same
does refer to such addition or subdivision as originally platted
and as the certificate of the same is recorded in the office of the
Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas.
Section 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict with this ordinance be and the same are, insofar as they conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance, repealed.
Section 7. That if any section of -chis orainance or any
clause or part of any such section shall be held unconstitutional
or void for any reason, _ill other sections, clauses or parts of
this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect irrespective
of any such holding or decision, it being the intention to adopt
each section, clause or part of this ordinance independently of
any other section, clause or part thereof.
Section 8. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its publication once in the official
city paper.
