AN ORDI HME amending Section 39 of Ordinance 2993, being Section
5-239 Revised Ordinances 1925, relating to the location of
gasoline filling stations.

ection 1. That Section 39 of Ordinance No. 2993, being
Section 5 -Revised Ordinances 1925 be and the same is hereby
amended to rea s follows:
"Section 39. shall be unlawful f'or any person, firm or
corporation to buildCoo�itruct, locate or maintain in the same
block with any public or paro ial school L,rounds, public park
or public playground., or across a%street from and directly
opposite to any block in which isany such public or
parocriial school, public park or public pla ound, any tank
or oti.er receptacle, or gasoline filling station, or any gasoline
pump for the purpose of storing or dispensing at wLo ale or re-
tail, any gasoline, oils or other inflammable liquids or losives."
Section 2. ':Chat said original Section 39 of Ordinance
2993, being Section 5-239 Revised ordinances 1925, be and the same
is hereby repealed. 4

AN ORDINANCE amending Section 39 of Ordinance 2993, being Section
5-239 Revised Ordinances 1925, relating to the location of
gasoline filling stations.,

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 39 of Ordinance No. 2993, being
Section 5-239 Revised Ordinances 1925 be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 39',It'Ashall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to build, construct, locate or maintain in the same block with any
public ori parochial school ££grounds,public park or public play-
ground, or across any street/anrom directly opposite/any block in
which is located any such public or parochial school, public park
or ,public playground, any tank or other receptacle, or gasoline
filling station, or any gaso'line pump for the purpose of storing
or dispensing at wholesale or retail, any gasoline, oils or other
inflammable liquids or explosives."
Section 2. That said original Section 39 of Ordinance
No. 2993, being Section 5-239 Revised Ordinapces 1925, be and the
same is hereby repealed. \\
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after
its publication in the official city paper.
