AN O:tDI i,NCE amending Urdinan ce No. 3188, being an ordinance ce dividing
the City of Salina into zones or aistricts and regulating
and restricting the location of trades and industries, etc.,
and the uses of land in each of such districts or zones, and
defining additional commercial and Light Industrial Districts
or.zones.
VVHEhEnS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Salina
has recorrimended to the board of Commissioners certain changes in the
zones or districts defined by Ordinance No. 3188, as amended, as here-
inafter set forth, and due notice thereof has be:n given as required
by law and in the opinion of said Board of Commissioners shall be made,

BE I`' OhDAIhED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described. land within the City
of Salina shall be and the same is hereby included, added to and made
a part of the "C" Commercial District as defined in Section 5 of
Ordinance No. 3188 and said ordinance as amended, and that said land
may be used for the purposes designated in Section 10 of said Ordinance
No. 3188, subject to the restrictions and regulations hereinafter
provided for, to-wit:Lots 18, 20, 27, 29 and 31 in block 22 in
Episcopal Military Institute tiddition; also Lots 1 to 10 inclusive,
in each of blocks 1, 41 5 and 8 in Woodland Addition, and Lots 1 to
10 inclusive in Block 8, Pacific Adaition, and in Blocks 5, 4 and 5
in Episcopal Military Addition, and Lots 11, 13 and 15 in Block 3
and Lots 1, 3, 5 7 and 9 in Block 6, in Episcopal Military Addition,
and Lots 1, 2 and 3 in block 1, Golden Belt Addition, and beginning
at a point on the north line of Pacific Street 120 feet east of the
east line of 'Third Street; thence north 200 feet; thence east 255 feet;
thence south 200 feet; thence west 255 feet to Po-nt of beginning.
Section 2. That the following described land in the City of
Salina, shall be and the same is hereby included within, added to and
made a part of the "D" Light Industrial District as defined in Section
6 of Ordinance No. 3188 and that such land may be used for the purposes
designated in Section 11 of said. Ordinance No. 3188, subject to the
restrictions and regulations hereinafter contained, to -wit; Lot 42 in
Block 1 and Lot 41 in Block 2 in VanTrine's Aad.ition.
Section 3. That any commercial building constructed on any of
the land described in the preceding sections of this ordinance shall
be of residential type with the same set back as requIred for residential
buildings in the Residential Districts adjoining such commer-cial or
light inaustrial aistricts created by preceding sections of this
ordinance and that the use of any commercial buildings to be constructed
in such districts and all architectural and landscape plans for any such
commercial buildings, and any advertising signs to be used in connection
therewith shall be submitted to and approved by the City Planning

Commission and the Board. of Cornmissioners of the City of Salina
before any permit for any buiding to be erected thereon shall
be issued and -,provided further that if' any section or part of
this ordinance shall be held invalid for any reason, then this
whole ordinance shall be deemed invalid and of no effect, it being
the intention of the Board of Commissioners to adopt said ordinance
as a whole and only with the restrictions and conditions herein
contained.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its publication in the oft'icial city paper.

AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 3188, being an ordinance dividing
the City of Salina into zones or districts and regulating and
_ restricting the location of trades and industries, etc., and
the uses of land in each of such districts or zones, and de-
fining additional commercial and Light Industrial Districts
or zones.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Salina
has recommended to the Board of CommisaLoners certain changes in the
zones or districts defined by Ordinance No. 3188, as amended, as here-
inafter set forth, and due notice thereof has been given as required
by law and in the opinion of said Board of Commissioners shall be made,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land within the City
