AN ORDINANCE prop✓icing that certain platted and unplatted tracts of
land, which adjoin the present limits of the City of Salina,
Kansas be added to and taken into and made a part of the City
of Salina; extending the limits of said city so as to include
said added land; defining the corporate limits of said city as
extended, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance.
BE I'T ORDE INE'D by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That that certain tract of platted or unplatted
land, lying in the southeast corner of the east half of the south-
west quarter of Section 7, 'Township 14 south, Range 2 west of the
6th P. M. in Saline County, Kansas, lying south and east of the
center of the Smoky Hill River, (being that part of Lot 2 of the
sub -division of the Thomas White farm according to the plat there-
of lying south and east of the center of the Smoky Hill hiver).
and which is described by metes and bounds, as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of the southwest quarter
of said Section 7, thence north along the east line of the south-
west quarter of said section to the center of the Smoky Hill. River,
thence up the center of said river to its intersection with the
south line of the southwest quarter of said Section 7, thence east
along the south line of the Southwest quarter of said section to
the point of beginning; which tract of land does not exceed twenty
acres in area and which is so situated that all of the south boundry
thereof lies upon or touches the present boundary line in the City of
Salina, be and the same is hereby added to, taken into and made a
part of the City of Salina.
Section 2. That that certain tract of platted or unplatted
land, lying in the southwest corner of the south half' of the south
east quarter of Section 7, Township 14 south, Range 2 west of the
6th P. N!. in Saline County, Kansas, being known as Lot 2 in Sur-
veyor's Plat No. 18, according to the recorded plat thereof and
described by metes and bounds as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of the southeast quarter
of said Section 7; thence north along the west line of said south-
east quarter to the center of the Smoky Hill niver; thence down
the center line of said river to its intersection with the east
line of said Lot 2 in Surveyor's Plat No. 18; thence south along
the east line of said Lot 2 to the south line of said Section 7;
thence west along the south line of said Section 7 to place of
beginning, which tract does not exceed twenty acres in area and
which is so situated that all of the south boundary line thereof
lies upon or touches the present boundary line of the City of Salina,
be and the same is hereby added to, taken into and made a part of
the City of Salina.

land, lying in the northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 14 south,
Range 2 west of the 6th F.Ivi. in Saline County, Kansas, being known and
described as Lot 22 in Surveyors Plat No. 8, according to the recorded
plat thereof, which tract does not exceed twenty acres in area and which
is so situated that all of the north and west boundary lines thereof
lie upon or touch the present boundary line of the City of Salina, be
and the same is hereby added to, taken into and made a part of the City
of Salina, Kansas.
Section 4. That that certain tract of platted or unp�atted
land, lying in the northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 14
south, Range 2 west of the 6th P. Ni. in Saline County, Kansas, being
known and described as Lot 21 in Surveyor's Plat No. 8 according to
the recorded plat thereof, which tract of land does not exceed twenty
acres in area and which is so situated that all of the north boundary
line thereof lies upon or touches the present boundary line of the
City of Salina be and the same is hereby added to, taken into and made
a part of the City of Salina.
Section 5. That that certain tract of platted or unplatted
land, lying in the northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 14
south, Range 2 west of the 6th i-. M. in baline County, Kansas, being
known and described as Lot 20 in Surveyor's Plat No. 8 according to
the recorded plat thereof, which tract of land does not exceed twenty
acres in area and which is so situated that all of the north boundary
line thereof lies upon or touches the present boundary line of the
City of Salina be and the same is hereby added to, taken into and
m$de a part of the City of Salina.

upon or touches the present boundary line said city as heretofore

added to, taken into and made a part of the City of Sa
Section 7. 'That that certain tract of platted or unplatted
land, lying in the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of
Section 13, Township 14 south, Range 3 west of the 6th P.m. in
Saline County, Kansas, being known and described as Lot 6 in Sur-
veyor's Plat No. 12 according to the recorded plat thereof of re-
cord in the office of the Register of Deeds of Saline County,
Kansas, and which tract of land does not exceed twenty acres in
area and which is so situated that all of the north and westerly
noundary lines thereof lie upon or tcuch the present boundary line
of the City of Salina be and the same is hereby added to taken into
and made a part of the City of Salina.
Section 8. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina
be and the same are hereby extended to include tree territory added
to, taken into and made parts of said city as provided for in the
preceding sections of this orc.inance, and that all of the land ly-
ing within the following described boundaries be and the same is
declared to be within the corporate lin-its of said city, and made
a part of said city, and that such corporate limits be and the
same are defined as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the center of
Ninth Street with the center of Cloud Avenue, being the corner
common to Sections 23, 24, 25 and 26, Township 14, south., range
3 west of the 6th P. Ij. in Saline County, Kansas; trience west along
the south line of said Section 23 to the southwest corner of Ever-
green Park Adaition; thence north along the west line of Ever-
green Park Addition to the northwest corner of said Adaition,
as
such point being in the south line of Claflin Avenud/shown on the

Section 9. That all references in this ordinance to any
addition or subdivision be deemed to refer to and that the same
does refer to such addition or subdivision as originally platted
and as the certificate of the same is recorded in the office of
the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas.
Section 10. *ihat all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance be and the same are, in so far as they
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, repealed,
Section 11, That if any section of this ordinance or any clause
or part of any such section shall be held unconstitutional or void
for any reason, all other sections, clauses or parts of this ordinance
shall remain in full force and effect inrrespective of any such
holding or decision, it being the intention to adopt each section,
clause or part of this ordinance independently of any other section,
clause or part thereof.
Section 12. that this ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its publication once in the official city
per.

south, Range 2 west of the 6th P. M. in Saline County, Kansas,
being known and described as Lot 21 in Surveyor's Plat No. 8
according to the recorded plat thereof, which tract of land does
not exceed twenty acres in area and which is so situated that all
of the northboundary line thereof lies upon or touches the present
boundary line of the City of Salina be and the same is hereby added
to, taken into and made a part of the City of Salina.
Section 5. That that certain tract of platted or unplatted
land, lying in the northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 14
south, Range 2 west of the 6th P. M. in Saline County, Kansas, being
known and described as Lot 20 in Surveyor's Plat No. 8 according
to the recorded plat thereof, which tract of land does not exceed
twenty acres in area and which is so situated that all of the
north boundary line thereof lies upon or touches the present
boundry line of the City of Salina be and the same\Iis hereby
added to,.taken into and made a part of the City of Salina.

platted addit or sub -division in the northwest quarter of
Section 18, Towns 14 wouth, Range 2 west, in Saline County,
Jansas, which is sub vided into lots and blocks according to
the recorded plat there in the office of the Register of Deeds
of Saline County, Kansas a hown in Plat Certificate Book No. 1
at page 105 and in Book "D" o lats at page 19, the north
boundary line of which lies upon touches the present boundary
line of said city as heretofore esta shed and the remaining
portion of which said Addition is now w in the limits of the
City of Salina, be and the same are hereby ded to,taken into
and made a part of the City of Salina.
Section 7. That that certain tract of platted or unplatted
land, lying in the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of
Section 13, Township 14 south, Range 3 west of the 6th P. M. in
Saline County, Kansas, being known and described as Lot 6 in
Surveyor's Plat No. 12 according to the recorddd plat thereof
of record in the office of the Register of Deeds of Saline County,
Kansas, and which tract of land does not exceed twenty acres in
area and which is so situated that all of the north and westerly
boundary -----lines thereof l*e upon or touch the present boundry line
of the City of Salina be and the same is hereby added to
taken into and made a part of the City of Salina.
Section 8. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina
be and the same are hereby extended to include the territory added
to, taken into and made parts of said city as provided for in the
preceding sections of this ordinance, and that all of the land ly-
ing within the following described boundaries be and the same is
declared to be within the corporate limits of said city, and made
a part of said city, and that such corporate limits be and the
same are defined as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the center of
Ninth Street with the center of Cloud Avenue, being the corner
common to Sections 230 240 26 and 26, Township 14, south, Range
3 west of the 6th P. M. in Saline County, Kansas; thence west
along the south line of said section 23 to the southwest corner
of Evergreen Park Addition; thence north along the west line of
Evergreen Park Addition to the northwest corner of said Addition,
such point being in the south line of Claflin Avenue as shown
on the plat of Pleasant View Addition; thence west along the
south line of Claflin Avenue to the southwest corner of Pleasant

Section 9 That all references in this ordinance to any
addition or subdivision be deemed to refer to and that the same
does refer to such addition or subdivision as originally platted
and as the certificate of the same is recorded in the office of

the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas.
Section 10. that all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with this ordinance be and the same are, in so far
as they conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, repealed.
Section 11. That if any section of this ordinance or any
clause or part of any such section shall be held unconstitutional
or void for any reason, all other sections, clauses or parts of
this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect irrespective
of any such holding or decision, it being the intention to adopt
each section, clause or part of this ordinance independently of
any other section, clause or part thereof.
Section 12. lhat this ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its publication once in the official
city paper.
