AN ORDINANCE vacating a certain portion of Woodlawn Avenue in the
City of Salina.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That that portion of Woodlawn Avenue in the City
of Salina lying south of and adjacent to Lot 86 on Ninth Street
and Lot 87 on Highland Avenue in the Grounds of the Kansas fiesleyan
lying north of and adjacent to Lot 88 on Ninth Street and Lot 89 on
Highland Avenue in the Grounds of the Kansas Wesleyan University,
as shown by the recorded plat of said Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan
University, an addition to the City of Salina, be and the same is
hereby vacated and that said portion of said street so vacated shall
revert to and become a part of the private property lying on either ,
side of such portion of such street so vacated in the manner provided
by law; subject to the right of the City of Salina, Kansas, to reopen
or any portion thereof in the manner and under the condition provided
by law.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its publica-
tion in the official city paper and upon the recording of a certified
copy of this ordinance and of such proof of publication in the office
of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas, and provided that
the owners of the property on either side of the portion of the street
so vacated shall pay the expense of such publication and recording.
