the
• hereby vacated and that that porition of said street above vacated
shall revert to and become a part of the private property lying on
either side of said portion of said street in the manner provided
by law, subject to the right of the city to reopen the same in
the manner and upon the conditions provided by law.
Section 2 This ordinance shall take effect upon its publica-
tion in the official city paper and upon the recording pf a certified
copy of this ordinance and of such proof of publication in the office
of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas, and provided that
the owners of the property on either side of the portion of the
street so vacated shall pay the expense of such publication and
recording.

known as Custer Avenue, lying east of and adjacent to Lots 18,
2019 22, 24, 26 and 28 in Block 18 in Morris Addition and lying

west of and adjacent to Lot 23 and the south 20 feet of Lot 24
in East Gardens Addition being that portion of Chester Avenue
lying north of the Missouri Pacific Railroad right -df -way and
