AN ORDINANCE vacating a part of a certain alley in Block 8 Oakdale
Addition.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of (�omnissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the west 165 feet of the east and west
alley, 20 ft. in width, in Block 8 Oakdale Addition, City of Salina,
Kansas, lying south of Lot 12 and north of Lots 13, 14 and 15 and west
15 ft. of Lot 16 in said Block 8 Oakdale Addition, be and the same is
hereby vacated, and that that part of the alley so vacated shall revert
to and become a part of the property lying on each side thereof and
abutting thereon in equal shares, as provided by law; Provided, however,
that as a consideration for the vacation of said portion of` said alley,
the City of Salina shall and does reserve a right-of-way in and along
that portion of the alley so vacated for sewer, water or gas mains,
telephone or electric light poles, wires or conduits, such right-of-way
when used to be as near by as possible in the center of such vacated
alley.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
after its publication in the official city paper, and after a true
copy thereof with proof of publication is recorded in the office of
the Register of Deeds in Saline County, Kansas, provided that the cost
of such cublication and recording be paid by the owners of property
abutting upon such vacated alley.
