ORDINANCE NO. 3832

AN ORDINANCE providing for grading and draining the Salina Municipal
Airport, and for letting a contract therefor.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That it is necessary and it is hereby ordered
that the Salina Municipal Airport be graded and drained to such
extent as may be necessary to make the same availalbe for safe
use by aircraft.
Section 2. That the City Engineer be and he is instructed
to prepare and file in the office of the City Clerk on or before
February 10, 1930, plans and specifications for the work herein
provided for, together with a detailed estimate of the cost there-
• of, under oath, and that after the same are filed, the City Clerk
is hereby ordered to advertise by publication for three days in
the official city paper for proposals for the doing and construction
of such work, and that upon the recei-t of such proposals, the
Board of Commissioners may let a contract for such work to the
lowest and best responsible bidder therefor, but the right is
hereby reserved to reject any and all of such proposals for any
cause.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its publication
in the official city paper.

-on account of the existing emergency caused by the lack of proper
landing facilities at the Salina Municipal Airport, and the necessity
that the Airport be graded and drained at the earliest possible time
so as to make the same available for safe use by aircraft, I request
that the foregoing ordinance be passed on the day of its introduction.
