3786 Issue GO BondsORDINANCE N0, 37 1 AN ORDINANCE amending ordinance No. 3778 passed September 3rd, 1929, authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $89,479.15 to pay the cost of improving certain streets and alleys in said city. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3778 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. That for the purpose of providing funds to pay the Lost of improvements hereinbefore described, there shall be issued and hereby are issued Internal Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the total principal sum of $89,479.15 Said issue,shall consist of 90 bonds numbered from 1 to 90 inclusive, all dated 'august 1st, 1929, and shall become due serially in denomi- nations as follows: No. 1 for $479. 15 due August 1st, 1930 ' Nos. 2 to 9 inclusive for $1 000 each, due August 1, 1930 Nos. 10 to 18 inclusive for 19000 each, due,August 1, 1931 Nos. 19 to 27 inclusive for 1,000 each, due'August 1, 1932 Nos. 28 to 36 inclusive for fl,000 each, due August i, 1933 Nos. 37 to 45 inclusive for 1,000 each, due August 1, 1934 Nos. 46 to 54 inclusive for 1,000 each, due August 1, 1935 Nos. 55 to 63 inclusive for 10000 each, due August 11 1936 Nos. 64 to 72 inclusive for 1,000 each, due "ugust 1, 1937 Nos. 73 to 81 inclusive for $1,000 each, due August i, 1938 Nos. 82 to 90 inclusive for$ 1,000 each, due August 1, 1939 All said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of four and one-half per cent (42/) per annum, payable semi-annually on it February 1st and August 1st in each year* Section 2. That Paragraph one of Section e of Ordinance No. 3778, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 3. Said bonds shall be in the form and shall contain recitals substantially as follows: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA STATE OF KANSAS COUNTY OF SALINE CITY OF SALINA 10 No. INTFRNAL IMPROVEMENT BOND KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS That the City of Salina, in the County of Saline, State of kansas, adknowledges itself to be indebted and for value received hereby promises to pay to the bearer the sum of Dollars in lawful money of the United States of America, on the first day of August 19 , with interest thereon from the date hereof at the rate of four and one-half per cent (420) per annum, payable semi-annually on the first days of February and 4gust in each year, on presentation and surrender of the interest coupons here- to annexed as said coupons severally become due, both principal and interest of this bond being payable at the office of the State Treasurer of the State of Kansas, in the City of Topeka, Kansas, And said City of Salina, Kansas is held and firmly bound by these presents and the full faith, credit and resources of said city are hereby irrevocably pledged for the payment of said principal and interest at maturity." Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city paper.
