AN ORDINANCE making a levy of taxes for gdneral revenue and other
purposes in the City of Salina, Kansas for the year 1930.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissione_-s of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of 12.838 mills on the dollar be
and the same is hereby levied on all real, personal and mixed
property of whatsoever kind or nature within the City of Salina,
Kansas for the year 1930 for the purposes hereinafter set forth
and apportioned and divided as follows:
For General Revenue ----------------------------- 5.002
For Memorial Hall Fund -------------------------- .133
For the purpose of raising funds for the maintenance
of a Fire Department and for the purchase of equip-
ment--------------�------------------------------ 1.354
ForBand Fund ----------------------------------- .288
For General Improvement Fund -------------------- .538
ForLibrary Fund -------------------------------- .498
For Sinking Fund -------------------------------- .180
For paying General Bonds and Interest ----------- 3.129
For annual installment and interest on Bonds issued
to pay for the improving and paving of squares and
areas formed by intersection of streets --------- .857
For Sewage Disposal Fund ----------------------- ,181
For Emergency Fund ------------------------------ .180
For Airport Fund ------------------------------ .498
Section 2. That valuation of the property upon which the
foregoing taxes are levied and assessed be in all cases taken
from the assessment rolls of the present year in the office of
the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas and that it shall be
the duty of the City Clerk of the City of Salina, Kansas,
immediately upon and after the passage of this ordinance and on
or before the 25th day of August 1929 to transmit a duly certi-
fied copy of the same to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas,
so that the levy may be placed upon the tax roll and the taxes
collected according to law.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its publication once in the official city
paper .
