5028 Fire Department Telephone OperatorsLJ 1 ORDI'_iANCE NO. 5028 _ _(Published ,n the Salina Journal May 7. 1943 AN ORDIIJANCE relating to and providing for certain employees of the Fire { Department. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas; Section 1. That the employment of three employees of the r'ire Department, to serve as telep#one operators for the Fire Department under the direction and supervision of the Fire Chief, at a salary of $80.00 per month, is hereby author- ized; Provided, that any or all of such employees may be women, and provided further that such employees shall not be considered to be firemen or members of the Fire Department as such terms are used in any acts or ordinances re- lating to the firemen's relief fund or the firemen's pension fund, or other ordinances relating to firemen, and they shall not be entitled to participate in the firemen's relief or pension funds, or in any insurance plan provided for firemen, and no deductions are to be made from the salaries of such employees for fees, dues or contributions to the Firemen's Relief Fund or the Firemen's Pension Fund of said city.
