Section 1. That from and after January 1, 1543, the salaries and .vanes to
be paid to the officers and e i Dloyees of. the City of Salina :rent .cned in this
ordinance shall be the amounts set forth in the following sections of this
ordinance.

Section 17. Nothin7 in this ordinance shall be deerhed to affect or change
the t erms or provisions of any ordinance now in effect, except to s,.ach extent as the

Section 18. r(hil AL. That Sections 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 of Ordinance 11o.
4825, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4962, Sections 4 and 5 of Ordinance 11'. o. 4985,
Ordinance No. 5009, and Sections 3, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 18 of Ordinance Ido.
5007, and such w?arts of other ordinances as are in specific conflict with the terms
of t;iis ordinance, be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 19. T is ordinance shall tare effect and be in force after its publica-
tion in the official city paper.

and employees of the City of Salina, and repealing certain ordinances
and parts of ordinances of the City of Salina.

increased $10.00 per month at the end of each successive six month period
of continuous employment until suchsalary shall reach $130.00 per month,
and shall be $130.00 per month thereafter until such officer shall have
served five years on the department, and at the expiration of such time
he shall, if his services have been satisfactory, and if he is retained
on the department and designated as a patrolman first class, his salary
shall be fixed as provided by ordinance for Patrolmen First Class.
(d) Special Patrolmen shall receive a slary of -- $130.00 per month
(e) The Police Matron, who shall also be caretaker of the
City restroom shall receive a salary of - - - - - - - - 15.00 per month
(f) Any special police officers who may be commissioned by the
City Manager and assigned to special duty shall be paid such amount for their
services as may be fixed by the Cit�r �.anager and not to exceed pay at the
rate cf $120.00 per month.

not specifically mentioned in this ordinance shall remain as now fixed by
ordinance, and whenever it is necessary to employ any person in any department
whose wages are not specifically fixed in this ordinance, including all common
labor, the wages of any such employee shall be such as may be fixed by the City
Manager and as may be allowed and paid from time to time by the Board of Com-
missioners; provided, that if by agreement the salary or wages
paid to any
officer 7 employee is reduced from the amount hereby fixed or theretofore in
effect, the amount so agreed upon, when allowed and paid bs= the Board of Commis-
sioners and accepted by the officer or employee shall be in full payment for
his services.
Section 17. nothing in this ordinance shall be deemed to affect
or change the terms or provisions of any ordinance now in effect, except to
such extent as the salaries and wages of officers and employees of the City
are changed by this ordinance.
Section 18. _ R'PEAL. That Sections 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 of Ordinance
Number 4825, Section 1 of Ordinance rurmber 4962, Sections 4 and 5 of Ordinance
Number 4985, Ordinance Number 5009, and Sections 3, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16
and 18 of Ordinance Number 5007, and such parts of other ordinances as are in
specific conflict with the terms of this ordinance, be and the same are hereby
repealed.
