AN ORD L''ANCE making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other purposes by
the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1942:
BE IT ORDAII`IED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the sum of 12.4140 mills on the dollar be and the same
is hereby levied on all real, personal and mixed property of vhatsoever kind
or nature (except intanmible property otherl.-ise taxed or assessed according

to law) in the City of Salina, v.1hich is a Ci.t,r of the first class having a
population less than 50,000, for the year 1942, for the purposes hereinafter
set forth, and apportioned and divided as follows:

taxes are levied and assessed be in all cases taken from the assessment rolls
for the present year in the office of the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas,
and it shall be t_:e duty of the City Clerk of Salina, Kansas, imiediately on and
after the passage and takinm effect of this ordinance, and on or before the 25th
da,r of August 1942 to transmit a dial;* certified co y of thiis ordLnance to the
County Clerk of sialine County, Kansas, so that the levy of taxes herein pro-
vided for may be placed u1on the tax rolls and the taxes collected according to
law.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its publication once in the official city paper.
