An ordinance vaeatinr a portion of a certain alley in the grounds of Kansas
3 VNesleyan University.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Coru-_issioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1.
That that portion of a certain alley 15 feet in width, which runs
north and south, and which lies east of and adjacent to Lots 14, 16 and 18
on Santa Fe Avenue in the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University, an addition
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and which lies arrest of and adjacent to Lot 21
on Beloit Avenue in the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University, an addition
in the City of Salina, Kansas, be and the seine is hereby vacated as a public
alley and that the same shall revert to and become a part of the lots to which
it lies adjacent, as aforesaid, to -wit: That portion of the west 71 feet of
said alley so vacated which lies adjacent to and abuts upon said Lots 14, 16
j and 18 on Santa Fe Avenue shall become a part and portion of said lots and
the east 71 feet of said portion of said alley so vacated shall be and become
a part of said lot 21 on Beloit Avenue in said Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan
University; provided, however, that the City of Salina shall and it does here-
by reserve a right-of-way and easement in, through and over said portion of
said alley so vacated with the right to use or permit the use cf the same
for rights-of-way for sewer, water or gas mains or electric lia,ht or telephone
poles, wires or conduits, or other public utility purposes.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
nublication in the official city paper, and after the payment of the cost of
said n,_zblication by the owner or owners of the property affected thereby, and
upon the filing and recording in the office of the Register of Deeds of Saline
County, Kansas, of a duly certified copy of said ordinance and of the proof
of nublication thereof.
