ORDI.ANCE NO, 4986
AN uRDI ;ATyCE relating to and providing for the taxation of court costs in
certain cases in the -Police Court of the City of Salina, and in cases
appealed from the judgment of the police Court.

Bre IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina., Kansas:

Secticn 1. That from and after January 1, 1941 the police Judge of the City
I
of Sali:ra shall tax as costs in e ery case in said police Court in which any
defendant is charged with the violation of the city ordinances of the City of
Salina, where such defendant enters a plea of tTuilty oP is convicted of such
charge, except cases where any such defendant is char -ed with the violation of
any ordinance relating to the overtime parking of vehicles, the sum of $3.00,

and in each case in unich a judgment of conviction by the police Judge is
appealed to the District Court of Saline County, the Police Judge shalltax
as additional costs of the proceedings including the filing and approval of

the appeal bond, the allowance of the apoeal, end the certification of such
proceedints to the District Court, the additional sum of 41:1.00 --%' sum shall
be certified as costs, together with all other costs taxes in such case, in
I
the transcript of the Police Court proceedints filed by the Police Judge in
w
the District Court.
The costs herein provided for shall be in addition to any other costs in
Police Court cases now provided for by Ordinance and when collected by the
Police Judge shall be paid into the City Treasury in the same manner that fines
paid for the violation of city ordinances are now paid.

AN ORDINANCE relating to and providing for the taxation of court costs in
certain cases in the Police Court of the

Section 1, That from and after January 1, 1941 the Police Judge of
the City of Salina shall tax as costs in every case in said police Court in
which any defendant is charged with the violation of the city ordinances of
the City of Salina, ant enters a where such defendplea of guilty or is con-
victed of such charge, except cases where any such defendant is charged with
the violation of any ordinance relating to the overtime parking of vehicles
the sum of 43.00, and in each case in which a �
judgment of conviction by the
Police Judge is appealed to the District Court of Saline County, the police
Judge shall tax as additional costs of the proceedings including the filing
and approval of the appeal bond, the allowance of the appeal, and the

fication of such proceedings to the District Court, the additional sum of
415.00 which sum shall be certified as costs, together with all other costs
taxed in such case, in the transcript of the ?olice Court proceedings filed
by the Police Judge in the District Court.
