the City of Salina, Kansas, 1939, being subsection (3) of Section 9 of Ordinance
*,Io. 4120, relating to and requiring the ventin-- of gas heating devices, and re-
pealing said original subsection.

Secticn 1. That subsection (3) of Section 5-509 of the Revised �)ruinances of the
Cite- of Salina 1`39, beim subsection (3) of Section 9 of Ordinance ic. 4120 be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(3) Every ;as heating device Hereafter installed, including gas titer 1 -,eaters,
but nog including the ovens of `a.s cookir_g stoves, snall be equipped i�;ith a !-ood and
sufficient flue or vent connection throur•h ,,:hich unLurned `as and other furies from
any sl.ch device -may flow out of the premises, ,end no flue or vent used for such niir-

Section 2. That original subsection (3) of Section 5-509 of the Revised orr'inance
Of the City of Salina 1939, being subsection (3) of Secti.on 9 of Ordinance 4120, be
and the same is hereby repealed.

AN uRDI c A Jrlw_ ae�.ending Subsection ( 3 ) of Section 5-50.9 of the Revised Ordinances
of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1939, being subsection (3) of Section 9
of Ordinance P'o. 4120, relating to and requiring the venting of r -as
heating devices, and repealing said orivinal subsection.
BE IT C;Ri _iI-`'rD by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Sal'.na, Kansas:
Section 1. That subsection (3) of Section 5-509 of the Revised
ordinances of the City of Salina 1939, being subsection (3) of Section 9
of Ordinance No. 4120 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(3) Every gas heating device hereafter installed, includinggas water
heaters, but not including the ovens of gas cooking stoves, shall be equipped
with a good and sufficient flue or vent connection through which unburned
gas and other fumes from any such device may flow out of the premises,
and no flue or vent used for such purpose shall be used for any purpose
except as a flue or vent, and these re6ulations shall apply to existing
systems or installations when in the judgment of the Plumbing Inspector
the same is necesary to the safety of the occupants of said premises."
Section 2. That original subsection (3) of Section 5-509 of the
Revised Ordinance of the City of Salina 1939, being subsection (3) of
Section 9 of Ordinance 4120, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall tame effect and be in force from
and after its publication in the official city paper.
