4947 Use of Poisonous or Explosive GasesORDINANCE NO. 4947 AN ORDINANCE regulating the use of poisonous or explosive gases in the City of Salina, Kansas. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the pity of Salina, Kansas*q Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation, I being the owner, occupant or in charge of any premises used for com- mercial purposes in the City of Salina, Kansas, to use or allow or cause or permit to be used on or in any such premises at any time, any type or kind of poisonous or explosive gas, including the use of hydrocyanic acid, chloropicrin or carbon bisulphide, for fumigation purposes with- out special permit from the Chief of the Fire Department. Provided, havever, that no Fumigant composed in whole or in part of carbon bisulphide gas may be used within any commercial building. c Section 2. That any person, firm or corporation, or any employee, agent, representative or officer thereof, who shall violate the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than $25.00 and not more than $100.00 for each offense, and every day that the conditions or provisions of this ordinance are not complied with according to the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed to constitute a separate offense. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city paper.
