AIT ORDIi4ANCE authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improve-
ment bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in t:�e sum of x;27,172.75
to pay the cost of constructing, reconstructinT;, improving and
enlarging a certain sewn e pumping station and constructing; cer-
tain storm sewers and repairing and reconstructing certain por-
tions of a certain sewer in said city and a certain :portion of
a certain sewage flow line connectin- the sewage purz,)ing station
and sewage disposal plant, such bonds to be designated as Series
5-123.

have been duly let and oerf ormed for the following work, to -wit:
The construction, reconstruction, improvement and enlarge-
ment of the pumping station for the purpose of pumping sew-
age of 1,Tain Sewer District "P" and the extensions thereof,
in order to conduct the sewage of said Hain Sewer District
"P" and the extensions thereof to a point of outlet as a
part of the sewage distribution system of the City of Sal9_na
as authorized by Ordinance No. 4848, and the cost thereof
which is to be paid by general taxation to be levied upon
all the taxable property within said city, and for which
bonds will be issued as hereinafter provided for has been
ascertained and is hereby found and determined to be the
sum of ~35639.88.
The repair and reconstruction of certain portions of a
certain sewer in Ash Street and of a certain portion of
the sewage flow line connecting the sewage pum,oinr; station
at the terminus of the said Ash Street sewer and the sew-
age disposal plant as authorized by Ordinance No. 4891,
the cost of such improvements to be Laid by general taxa-
tion to be levied upon all the taxable property within
said city, ,,hich cost and the amount for which bonds will
be issued as hereinafter provided for has been ascertained
and is hereby found and determined to be the sum of ��8673.00.
"'he repair and reconstruction of a certain portion of a
certain sewer in Ash Street in said city as authorized
by Ordinance No. 4921, the cost of which is to be paid
by general taxation to be levied upon all the taxable
property within said city and which cost and the anount
for which bonds will be issued as hereinafter provided
for has been ascertained and is hereby found and determined
to be the sum of 1,'10, 921.05; and
',.,HERLAS, pursuant to proceedings daily had according to law and as
authorized and provided for by Ordinance No. 4849 the work of con-
structing certain storm sewers in said city, to -wit:
Storm Sewers No. 10-B and 10-C, has been completed and the
cost thereof which is to be paid by general taxation to be
levied upon all the taxable property within said city and
for which bonds will be issued as hereinafter provided for
has been ascertained and is hereb7r found and determined to
be the sum of $1938.82; and
WHEREAS, the total amount for which bonds will be issued for the
payment of the above described improvements has been and is here-

BTI Ii O SLDAIN D by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the forerroin preambles be and they are hereby
adopted as a part of this ordinance and that for the purpose of
providing funds to pay the cost; of the improvements hereinbefore
described there shall be issued and there are hereby issued In-
ternal Improvement Bonds of the City of SalinaJ. Kansas in the
total principal sum of ti 27,172.75 which shall consist of 28 bonds
numbered from one to 28 inclusive, all dated March 1st, 1939,
which shall bear interest at the rate of 12 percent per annum
from and after said date until the respective maturities of said
bonds, payable semi-annually, said interest to be evidenced by interest
coupons as herein provided for and said bonds shall become due serially
in denominations as follows:

Section 2. Said bonds shall be signed by the r;layor and shall
be attested by the signature of the City Clerk and corporate seal of
the city shall be affixed thereto and said bonds shall have attached
thereto interest coupons representing the interest thereon, which
coupons shall be in the ford provided by law and shall bear the printed
or lithographed fac-simile signatures of the Mayor and City Clerk of
said city and said bonds and interest coupons shall be registered in the
office of the City Clerk and in the office of the Auditor of State as
required by law.
Section 3. Said bonds shall be designated as Series S-123 and
shall be in the form and shall contain recitals substantially as follows,

This bond is one of a series of 28 bonds of like date and tenor
excepting denomination and maturity, aggregating the total sum of
y;27,172.75, issued by the City of Safina, Kansas for the purpose
of paying the cost of constructing and reconstructing, repair and
enlarging a certain sewage pumping station, constructing certain
storm sewers and repairing and reconstruction certain portions of
a certain sewer in said city and a certain portion of a sewage flow
line, all to be paid for by the city at large by general taxation
by the authority of and in full compliance with the provisions,
restf;ictions and limitations of the constitution and laws of the
State of Kansas, including Sections 10-101, 10-115, 12-617, 12-6189
12-626, 12-628, 12-629 and 12-631a of the General Statutes of Kansas,
1935, and all provisions of the laws of said state applicable thereto,
and this bond and all of the other bonds of this series and all in-
terest thereon are to be paid by the City of Salina, Kansas.
And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, conditions
and things re(1uired to be done and to exist precedent to and in the
issuance of this bond have been properly clone and performed and do
exist in due and re-ular form and manner as required by the con-
stitu lion and laws of the Stai.e of Kansas, and that the total in-
debtedness of said city, including this series of bonds, does not
exceed any constitutional or statutory limitation.

this bond by causing it to be signed by its T.Zayor and its corporate

ORDINANCE N0, 4935
AN ORDINANCE authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improve-
ment Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $27,172.75
to pay the cost of constructing, reconstructing, improving and
enlarging a certain sewage pumping station and constructing cer-
tain storm sewers and repairing and reconstructing certain portions
of a certain sewer in said city and a certain portion of a certain
sewage flow line connecting the sewage pumping station and sewage
disposal plant, such bonds to be designated as Series S-123.
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings duly had according to law contracts
have been duly let and performed for the following work, to -wit:
The construction, reconstruction, improvement and enlarge-
ment of the pumping station for the purpose of pumping sew-
age of blain Sewer District "P" and the extensions thereof,
in order to conduct the sewage of said Main Sewer District
"P11 and the extensions thereof to a point of outlet as a
part of the sewage distribution system of the City of Salina
as authorized by Ordinance No. 4848, and the cost thereof
which is to be paid by general taxation to be levied upon
all the taxable property within said city, and for which
bonds will be issued as hereinafter provided for has been
ascertained and is hereby found and determined to be the
sum of 65639.88.
The repair and reconstruction of certain portions of a
certain sewer in Ash Street and of a certain portion of
the sewage flow line connecting the sewage pumping station
at the terminus of the said Ash Street sewer and the sew-
age disposal plant as authorized..by Ordinance No. 4891
the cost of such improvements to. be paid by general
tgxation to be levied upon all the taxable property with-
in said city, which cost and the amount for which bonds
will be issued as hereinafter provided for has been as-
certained and is hereby found and determined to be the
sum of $8673.00.
The repair and reconstruction of a certain portion of a
certain sewer in Ash Street in said city as authorized
by Ordinance No. 4921, the cost of which is to be paid
by general taxation to be levied upon all the taxable
property within said city and which cost and the amount
for which bonds will be issued as hereinafter provided
for has been ascertained and is hereby found and determined
to be the sum of 410,921.05; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings duly had according to law and as
authorized and provided for by Ordinance No. 4849 the work of
constructing certain storm sewers in said city, to -wit:
Storm sewers No, lA-B and 10 -Chas been completed and the
cost thereof which is to be paid by general taxation to be
levied upon all the taxable property within said city and
for which bonds will be issued as hereinafter provided for
has been ascertained and is hereby found and determined to
be the sum of $1938.82; and
WHEREAS, the total amount for which bonds will be issued for the
payment of the above described improvements has been and is here-
by found and determined to be the sum of $27,172.75; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAIYED by the bard of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Zansas:
Section 1. That the forego ng preambles be and they are hereby
